Digital Literacy

The aim of digital literacy education is to introduce our students to the competencies of the digital world and to provide them with the necessary basic skills. With this training, students will learn the basic skills about software and applications they will encounter on their roadmaps, and they will be prepared to learn and develop software.

Content:

Coding Path-A (Ages : 8-10)

  • Usage with Basic Features, (Mouse, Keyboard keys, left click, right click, example game).
  • File operations, save, open, folder, download operations, file search,
  • WhatsAppWeb usage, Whatsapp group rules (Ethical values),
  • Electronic Communication Methods (opening and using an e-mail account), security rules, password operations, password security,
  • Search Engines and Usage (Download a Scratch costume, Web page transitions, url copying, custom settings for camera,etc.)
  • Correct sitting posture (Health related issues),
  • How can we use technology to produce?
  • Useful sites,
  • Screen sharing tutorial.

Coding Path-B (Ages : 11-12)

  • How should I follow the course, during the course, after the course in general,
  • Using keyboard shortcuts,
  • File operations, save, open, folder, download operations, file search,
  • Whatsapp Web usage, Whatsapp group rules (Ethical values),
  • Digital security rules,
  • Search Engines,
  • Correct sitting posture (Health considerations),
  • How can we use technology to produce?
  • Useful sites,
  • Web Site Concept and Its Purposeful Use,
  • MS Office Programs (It will be useful in schools),
  • Canva Education (Presentation and design education),

Coding Path-C (Ages : 13-17)

  • Web Site Concept and Its Purposeful Use,
  • Utilizing Mobile Facilities and Services,
  • Social Media Usage,
  • MS Office Programs (It will be useful in schools),
  • Canva Education (Presentation and design education),
  • Information and Data Security,
  • Digital Ethics,
  • Conscious Use of Information and Communication Technology,
  • Instant messaging apps (Slack, Discord etc.).
